Today, April 10, C²DH researchers launched the digital memory bank covidmemory.lu. The platform #covidmemory offers people living or working in Luxembourg the opportunity to share their personal experiences with one another and to archive them for future generations.

De Gruyter is about to launch a new book series edited by Karin Priem (C²DH), Tim Allender (University of Sydney), Inés Dussel (Center for Research and Advanced Studies of the National Polytechnic Institute, Cinvestav, Mexico City) and Ian Grosvenor (University of Birmingham). The aim of the book series is to initiate and encourage debates and scholarly exchanges on images and films as complex material and social objects in the humanities and social sciences.

Édité par le C²DH et la Fondation Robert Krieps, ce livre recueille les chroniques de l'historien Denis Scuto publiées de 2015 à 2019 au quotidien luxembourgeois "Tageblatt". Il est richement illustré de documents souvent inédits.

This Forum Z looks at the concept of social inequality and how social status affects the realities of life in Luxembourg. Alongside a panel of experts, social education and pedagogy students will develop unorthodox suggestions to tackle these issues and encourage thinking outside the box.

Reparieren und Instandhalten sind ökonomisch wie kulturell zentrale Praktiken im »Leben« technischer Dinge und Infrastrukturen. Der Band rückt diese bislang wenig untersuchten Tätigkeiten in den Vordergrund und fragt nach den Wissensformen der unterschiedlichen Kulturen des Reparierens.

Organisé par le C²DH et Neimënster, un Forum Z consacré à «Mai 68 – Entre mythe et fait social total», qui a eu lieu le 9 mai 2018 à l’Abbaye de Neumünster, a thématisé la manière dont le Luxembourg a participé à ces processus souvent qualifiés de «révolutionnaires», mais aussi les effets que ce mouvement a laissés dans la société du Grand-Duché.

What was the impact of “May 68” in Europe and on Luxembourg society in particular? The tensions between myth and reality will be discussed at this Forum Z.
