Die Fortsetzung des interdisziplinären Seminars „Russia and Luxembourg in the 20th century: crossroads of history“ fand an der Universität Tambow (Russland) vom 11. bis 15. Februar 2019 statt, bei der russische und Luxemburger Studierende in Referaten und Diskussionen Schlüsselereignisse der Geschichte der beiden Länder untersucht haben.

Das interdisziplinäre Seminar zu Kreuzungen der russisch-luxemburgischen Geschichte, das vom 2. bis zum 6. Oktober 2018 in Luxemburg unter der Leitung von Dr. Inna Ganschow und Dr. Guido Lessing (C²DH) stattfindet, ist als Studierendenkonferenz konzipiert.

Research seminar with Benedikt Schoenborn, C²DH Visiting Researcher

In this blogpost Dr Spero Paravantis, researcher at the C²DH, shares his personal experience as a visiting scholar at the University of California, Berkeley where he spent the last six months working at the Institute of European Studies (IES).

The Jewish Museum in Prague currently shows an exhibition that presents the situation of the Jewish community during the “normalisation” period. The majority of the documents and photographs are being exhibited for the very first time and it is interesting to see audiovisual propaganda against the European Zionist movements captured on several newly accessible recordings.

What was/is European security in the context of the Cold War? How was and is it conceived? What role did “non-powers” play in European security, and how did they help define it? These were the main questions discussed during the conference held by the C²DH in March 2017.
