Dominique is a PhD Candidate working on migration from Luxembourg to Brazil in the 20th century.

Dominique Santana is a PhD candidate at the University of Luxembourg's Centre for Contemporary and Digital History (C2DH). She holds a bachelor's degree from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) and a master's degree from the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, both in History.

Since October 2017, she has been conducting a doctoral project entitled "Intertwined destinies, strengthened ties: Migration paths from Luxembourg to Brazil (1920-1965)" – supervised by Prof. Dr. Andreas Fickers (C2DH) and Ass.-Prof. Dr. Denis Scuto (C2DH). Besides her historical research, Dominique Santana is making an interactive web-documentary. Her project is supported by the Luxembourg National Research Fund (AFR-FNR PhD Grant).
