Benjamin Zenner is a former PhD Candidate researching the history of financial regulation and supervision of the Luxembourg financial centre

Benjamin Zenner was a PhD Candidate in Banking and Financial History at the Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History until 2021. Joint supervison of the PhD project was assumed by Dr Benoît Majerus (C²DH) and Dr Malik Mazbouri (University of Lausanne).  Benjamin holds a Master's degree in Contemporary European History from the University of Luxembourg.

His current research focuses on the history of the supervising authorities of the Luxembourg financial centre and on the relationship between the financial sector and the state. The preliminary timeframe for his study extends from 1945 until the 1980s.
