"Ukrainian Studies Across the Borders" is a joint conference of the newly started U-CORE project at the C²DH and UNDIPUS project of the University Greifswald, an international event dedicated to Ukrainian studies beyond traditional Ukrainistics. This two-day interdisciplinary conference, taking place on 26 and 27 March 2024, will explore a wide range of topics from psychology and digital humanities to postindustrialism and language studies, shedding light on the rich and complex history and culture, as well as the current war and research approaches to contemporary Ukraine. Highlights include sessions on trauma, heroism, and war; digital practices of freedom during conflict and digital archiving of oral history; and the intersection of minority languages and education. With distinguished speakers and innovative research, this conference promises to offer profound insights into Ukrainian studies across the borders.
The conference language is English.
Questions during the discussions are also possible in Ukrainian, Luxembourgish, German and French.
Registration is obligatory until 6 March 2024.

"Ukrainian Studies Across the Borders" - це спільна конференція новоствореного проєкту U-CORE в C2DH та проєкту UNDIPUS Університету Грайфсвальда, міжнародний захід, присвячений україністиці поза межами традиційної україністики. Ця дводенна міждисциплінарна конференція, що відбудеться 26 та 27 березня 2024 року, досліджуватиме широкий спектр тем від психології та цифрових гуманітарних наук до постіндустріалізму та мовознавства, проливаючи світло на багату та складну історію та культуру, а також на поточну війну та дослідницькі підходи до сучасної України. Серед основних тем - травма, героїзм і війна; цифрові практики свободи під час конфлікту та цифрове архівування усної історії; а також перетин мов меншин та освіти. Завдяки видатним доповідачам та інноваційним дослідженням ця конференція обіцяє запропонувати глибоке розуміння українознавчих студій через кордони.
Робоча мова конференції - англійська.
Питання під час дискусій також можна ставити українською, люксембурзькою, німецькою та французькою мовами.
