"The time for irony is over"

Andrei Gelasimov, born in 1966 in Irkutsk, Siberia, is a philologist with a doctorate and an award-winning writer who has also won prizes in France ("Prix de la découverte au Salon du livre de Paris 2005"). His novels are filmed and translated into several languages. As part of the exhibition "Russia in the showcase of the National Library", which runs until December 5, he was invited to Luxembourg with the lecture "New realism and the decline of liberal ideas". "Die Warte" got an exclusive interview, conducted by Inna Ganshov.
