C²DH Visiting Researcher Fellowships 2020
The C²DH offers several fellowships for visiting researchers: for PhD candidates, Post-Docs and Senior Researchers.

The Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History (C²DH) is the University of Luxembourg’s third interdisciplinary research centre, focusing on high-quality research, analysis and public dissemination in the field of contemporary and public history. It promotes an interdisciplinary approach with a particular focus on new digital methods and tools for historical research and teaching.

To promote international exchanges and collaborations in the field of contemporary, public and digital history, the C²DH offers several fellowships for visiting researchers: for PhD candidates, Post-Docs and Senior Researchers. Applicants are expected to pursue their own research project and should demonstrate how their proposed project relates to the research priorities and/or existing projects of the C²DH. The project proposal should clearly explain how the 3-month project is structured and what concrete outcome is envisioned. Fellowship holders will be assigned to a research department and asked to present their current project in a seminar or colloquium.

The fellowships carry a monthly grant of 1.500 €; Upon request a student accommodation can be covered as well. The fellowships ideally have a duration of 3 months within 2020. The funding is supposed to cover all expenses including travel and insurance. Fellows are expected to reside in Luxembourg or the Greater Region. The C²DH will provide office space and other relevant facilities. The application deadline is 01.11.2019.

 

Selection decisions will be announced no later than end of December 2019. Applications can be in English, German or French and must include:

  • Filled application form,
  • a letter of interest,
  • a curriculum vitae,
  • a list of publications,
  • a project proposal not exceeding 1,500 words and
  • a short paragraph on presenting yourself and your motivation during the stay at C²DH.
