Aurélia Lafontaine was a PhD Candidate at the Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History (C2DH), one of three research centres of the University of Luxembourg.
She holds a Bachelor degree in History from the University of Liège (Belgium) and a Master degree in Contemporary European History from the University of Luxembourg. Her master thesis analyses the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg’s role in the creation and early development of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (1948-1953).
Aurélia has been a PhD Candidate at the C2DH since October 2017. Her research focuses on the history of the Luxembourgish postal and telecommunication service and intends to produce a doctoral thesis as well as a virtual exhibition on the institution’s evolution between 1842 and 2017.
