Véronique is a PhD candidate working on the Popkult project

Véronique Faber holds a M. Phil. in Social Anthropology and African studies from the University of Vienna and a Higher Diploma in Arts Administration from the University College Dublin.

After having worked in the private and non-profit sector for many years, she returns to university and is currently a PHD candidate at the University of Luxembourg’s Centre for Contemporary and Digital History (C²DH). Her topic is the intertwining of the national, the transregional and the transnational in popular fairground culture at the Schueberfouer in Luxembourg, and how this intertwining changed over time. This topic is a part of the project “Popular Culture Transnational - Europe in the Long 1960s”.

Her supervisor is Prof. Dr. Machteld Venken.
