Grace Di Méo has recently joined the University of Luxembourg as a postdoctoral researcher working on the LuxTIME project. She holds a PhD (2020) in History from the University of Bristol (UK), which involved undertaking a data-driven study of female-perpetrated violence in the late Victorian and Edwardian period. During her doctoral studies, she was a research assistant on the ‘China Families’ project, an online repository which holds records for thousands of people who lived in nineteenth- and twentieth-century China. She also taught undergraduate classes on historical research methods, the history of modern Britain, and nineteenth-century crime and punishment. She worked in industry as a data analyst following her PhD, a role which involved building large datasets and implementing machine-learning algorithms to interpret human rights, environmental, and governance risks across the globe.
