Artificial Intelligence (AI) has the potential to play a transformative role in supporting cultural heritage resilience during times of emergency through rapid documentation, digital reconstruction, threat assessment, and community engagement. This roundtable will explore the ethical frameworks – such as transparency, accountability, cultural sensitivity, and data sovereignty—that underpin responsible AI use in cultural heritage. It will also address how we can support the development of skills and ethical grounding among students, educators, and young professionals to work effectively at the intersection of technology and cultural heritage.
