The digital exhibition Éischte Weltkrich: Remembering the Great War in Luxembourg is a project developed by the C2DH, the Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History at the University of Luxembourg, with the aim of addressing an important but neglected and understudied period in the country’s history, the First World War.

Ce chapitre propose une analyse des différentes temporalités que l'on peut percevoir dans un large corpus de tweets relatifs à la Grande Guerre et à son Centenaire. Il s'interroge notamment sur les effets des "vibrations" propres aux réseaux sociaux numériques sur ces temporalités.

During the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939) around 35000 volunteers from many countries fought in the so-called International Brigades that were created and organised by the Communist International. Roughly 4000 of these volunteers were of Jewish descent. In december 1937, the Jewish Naftali Botwin company was formed within the 13th Polish Dombrowski Brigade as a result of lobbying efforts by Polish-Jewish migrant communists in Paris.
