Penser l’histoire des médias ... le chemin historiographique et académique qu’elle a parcouru, mais aussi son actualité et ses perspectives, telles sont les ambitions relevées par la cinquantaine de contributions de ce livre.

De Gruyter is about to launch a new book series edited by Karin Priem (C²DH), Tim Allender (University of Sydney), Inés Dussel (Center for Research and Advanced Studies of the National Polytechnic Institute, Cinvestav, Mexico City) and Ian Grosvenor (University of Birmingham). The aim of the book series is to initiate and encourage debates and scholarly exchanges on images and films as complex material and social objects in the humanities and social sciences.

The Forum Z on Visualising History in the 1535 Creative Hub in Differdange opened up different perspectives to the challenges of visualising history in accessible, entertaining and interesting ways. With the musical support of C²DHs Douglas Lambert and a live translation into English and German the Forum Z covered a lot of ground, from history paintings to different forms of virtual reconstructions up to building a time machine.

Édité par le C²DH et la Fondation Robert Krieps, ce livre recueille les chroniques de l'historien Denis Scuto publiées de 2015 à 2019 au quotidien luxembourgeois "Tageblatt". Il est richement illustré de documents souvent inédits.

In September 2019, C²DH will launch the DEMA project which will provide a systematic reflection on the methodological underpinnings of experimental media archaeology as a practical and sensorial approach to media historiography.

My research sometimes leads me onto unexpected paths. My travel to Koblenz counts without doubt among them.

On 19 and 20 March, the C²DH hosted a two-day hands-on workshop on the use of interactive digital storytelling for academic historians with Sandra Gaudenzi, one of the leading experts in interactive storytelling and a senior lecturer at the University of Westminster.

Projet conjoint avec l'Université Rennes 2, le "Goût de l'archive à l'ère numérique" est un livre en ligne, vivant, investiguant les changements de la relation des historien.ne.s à leurs sources primaires. La "Gazette des Archives" - la revue des archivistes français créée en 1933 - en publie une capture dans son numéro 253.
