Helena Jaskov is a historian of East Asia and joined the DHARPA team as a postdoc in 2020. She holds a MA degree in Japanese Studies and Chinese Studies and completed her PhD at Heidelberg University with a thesis on the history of mental illness in Meiji Japan and Imperial Germany.
As a postdoc at the University of Zurich (2017-2020) she has collaborated with the Johann Jacobs Museum on a global history exhibition and has been involved in a project of transmedia storytelling that combines teaching and games.
Helena is currently working on the DHARPA project led by Professor Sean Takats where she is curating the network analysis section of the project.
