Federica is a visting researcher

Federica Moretti holds a PhD in Social Sciences from the University of Lausanne.

She is postdoctoral researcher in the ERC-SOCIOBORD project led by Prof. Laura Lee Downs at the European University Institute. She works on social welfare, children and borders by developing an analysis of the Kannerschlass Foundation, a secular institution in Sanem, Luxembourg. For this research project, she works in collaboration with Prof. Machteld Venken.

Federica is also a researcher at the Centre intercantonal d’information sur les croyances in Geneva, where she works on a cartography of religious and spiritual diversity in Ticino.

The European Citizen Science Association (ECSA) recently appointed her as Citizen Science Ambassador for Luxembourg.

Passionate about tackling ethical questions in research, she joined the Commission de Réflexion Éthique et Déontologique (CRED) of the Swiss Anthropological Association.

Her research interests include imaginaries, migration, (im)mobilities, borders, welfare, artivism, religious diversity, multimodal and multisensory anthropology, ethics.
