Welcome to Adila Laïdi-Hanieh, Public Historian in Residence
Adila Laïdi-Hanieh will join the C²DH from April to May 2024.

Dr Adila Laïdi-Hanieh is a Palestinian art historian and the former Director General of the Palestinian Museum (2018-2023.) She holds a PhD in Cultural Studies from George Mason University and has published several books and essays.

She taught Modern and Contemporary Arab Thought, and Palestinian Art History at Birzeit University from 2006 to 2008 and ran the Khalil Sakakini Cultural Center in Ramallah from 1996 to 2005.

She will stay several weeks at the C²DH and will contribute to the discussions on digital and public history engagement for museums and other cultural institutions.
