            Child Forced Labour. An Analysis of Ego Documents Thoughout Time

            This article centralises a unique collection of ego documents created underCommunism in which Polish former child forced labourers articulate their warexperiences. A comparative analysis of them with recent testimonies reveals that theseego documents offer a more nuanced depiction of Germans and display richerinformation on the specific working conditions and daily routine for children than thecontemporary ones.

They map the multifacetedinterest or non-interest of states all over Europe for children in the years after the war,filter out groups of children who recall that the consequences of the Second World Warsignificantly influenced their childhood, and investigate the childhood policies directedtowards them, as well as their childhood experiences and the memories they fosterabout their childhood.

            This essay is a case study which looks at interferences types in the mother tongues of two multi-lingual sisters ages 8 and 6 who each speak 5 languages. In addition to typecasting of mistakes, the influence of the predominant language on the mother tongue is shown and the areas of language and the most significant deformations are defined. The question of whether a multi-identity emerges through multi-lingualism is answered with a resounding no, and the lingual identity of children is defined as a hybrid.

            Systems genomics evaluation of the SH-SY5Y neuroblastoma cell line as a model for Parkinson’s disease

            Background: The human neuroblastoma cell line, SH-SY5Y, is a commonly used cell line in studies related to neurotoxicity, oxidative stress, and neurodegenerative diseases. Although this cell line is often used as a cellular model for Parkinson’s disease, the relevance of this cellular model in the context of Parkinson’s disease (PD) and other neurodegenerative diseases has not yet been systematically evaluated.
