Luxemburgische Zeitgeschichte

The ‘Finlux’ reading group meetings is a place for researchers to discuss banking and financial history and to reflect on how to best write the history of the Luxembourg financial centre.

Lecture by Ian Grosvenor, professor of Urban Education History at the School of Education, University of Birmingham, and director of the Voices of War & Peace Centre

The virtual exhibition “Through the lens” narrates World War II in Luxembourg and the Greater Region through oral history interviews. It has been curated by the students of the Master in Contemporary European History in the context of a research seminar on oral history and under the supervision of Prof. Andreas Fickers and German filmmaker Loretta Walz.

On 15 June 2017, Dr Elena Danescu (C²DH) was invited to give a lecture at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Luxembourg in the framework of an event held in honour of Pierre Werner.

An exhibition and book project resulting from a collaboration between the FAMOSO research team (C²DH) and the Centre national de l’audiovisuel (CNA – National Audiovisual Centre).

Ce 22 mai 2017, l’Université du Luxembourg a inauguré officiellement son troisième centre interdisciplinaire en présence du ministre de la Justice, Félix Braz, et du ministre délégué à l'Enseignement supérieur et à la Recherche, Marc Hansen.
