In this presentation, I will present my PhD dissertation on the cultural dynamics of home movies in the twentieth century. In my research, I have investigated how various generations have recorded their memories on film, video and digital media, and, more specifically, how changes in these “technologies of memory” have shaped new forms of home movie making and screening.

Memorecord is a digital public history project. This crowdsourcing experiment combines community participation and academic research to offer a new perspective on the history of migration in Luxembourg. The project makes use of new communication technologies to approach history in a collaborative way.

Frequency values and distribution are considered to compute informational measures in multilingual historical and literary corpora.

Ruim 100 jaar geleden begonnen de eerste amateurs zichzelf en hun omgeving vast te leggen in bewegend beeld. The digital exhibition Éischte Weltkrich: Remembering the Great War in Luxembourg is a project developed by the C2DH, the Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History at the University of Luxembourg, with the aim of addressing an important but neglected and understudied period in the country’s history, the First World War.
