Christoph Brüll, Visiting Researcher at the Belgienzentrum, University of Paderborn

In May 2019, Christoph Brüll was a guest researcher at the University of Paderborn’s Belgienzentrum. He contributed to the design of the website Belgien.net, providing information on Belgium for German scholars and teachers.

Frédéric Clavert, Visiting Researcher at Rennes 2 University

In September 2019, Dr Frédéric Clavert was a visiting researcher for the “Digital History” Chair at Rennes 2 University in connection with preparations for an international project entitled “The allure of the archives in the digital age”. During his stay he led a number of academic events.

Richard Legay, Guest Researcher at the Centre for Media History & the Hans Bredow Institute

From March to June 2020, Richard Legay was a guest researcher at the Centre for Media History at Bournemouth University, where he conducted archival research and was involved in teaching activities as part of his PhD. During his stay he also took part in several conferences in England. In October 2020, he completed a two-week research stay at the University of Hamburg’s Hans Bredow Institute.

Sytze Van Herck, Scholar-in-Residence at the Research Institute for the History of Science and Technology at the Deutsches Museum in Munich

From January to April 2019, Sytze Van Herck was a guest researcher at the Research Institute for the History of Science and Technology at the Deutsches Museum in Munich. She was granted access to the museum and its archive for three months for her PhD research. She also presented “Gendered Labour in Business Computing: the IBM S/360 in Practice” at the Oberseminar of the Deutsches Museum in March to fellow researchers. Her research at the Deutsches Museum also contributed to a presentation entitled “Rebuilding the Office around the Mainframe. The IBM S/360 in Context” at the SIGCIS conference in Milan in October 2019.
