The C²DH has been able to increase its outputs in terms of both academic production and public outreach activities. The number of peer-reviewed articles and books shows constant growth, reflecting the Centre’s academic excellence. One of the core missions of the C²DH is to reach out to the general public – explicitly emphasised as an important societal value and impact of science in the Leiden Manifesto for Research Metrics1 – and this explains why the Centre has so many non-peer-reviewed publications. The number of public outreach events (such as the “Forum Z” series, workshops and conferences) and projects (including virtual exhibitions, podcast series and research websites) has constantly grown, helping to establish the C²DH as a “brand”, both in Luxembourg and internationally.
