The centre has a particular focus on digital methods and tools for doing contemporary history and serves as a catalyst for innovative and creative scholarship as well as new forms of public dissemination and societal engagement with history in Luxembourg. Four thematic axes — contemporary history of Luxembourg, digital historiography, contemporary European history and public history — structure the research activities of the centre; all of them are approached in a transnational and interdisciplinary perspective.
