I am Professor of Public History at the Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History (C²DH) where I lead the ‘Public History and Outreach’ Research Area. Recipient of the ATTRACT fellowship (funded by the Fond National de la Recherche), I have been the Principal Investigator of Public History as the new Citizen Science of the Past (PHACS) since 2020 with a team of doctoral and post-doctoral researchers working on communication and participation in history making. I am the Director of the Master in Digital and Public History (MADiPH) that opened in 2024. Former president of the International Federation for Public History (IFPH), I now represent the IFPH as headquarter representative at the University of Luxembourg. I taught and practiced public history in the United States for several years (Louisiana, Colorado) and published several works on the field, in particular Public History: a Textbook of Practice (2016/2022).
