Ruben is a PhD candidate

Ruben Ros holds a Research Master degree in History from Utrecht University (2019, The Netherlands). His focus areas are computational humanities, conceptual history and the history of science. Before joining the C²DH he worked as an intern at the Helsinki Computational History Group and as a research assistant at the KNAW Digital Humanities Lab in Amsterdam. His Master thesis focussed on the evolution of the concept of "the foreign" in Dutch nineteenth-century newspapers. Ruben is currently a doctoral candidate at the C²DH where he researches the rise of technocratic modes of reasoning in parliamentary debates in the twentieth century through argument mining.
