The European Commission has chosen Time Machine as one of the six proposals retained for preparing large scale research initiatives to be strategically developed in the next decade. The C²DH/University of Luxembourg is a member of the Time Machine consortium.

A Hands-On exploration through Luxembourg’s virtual and real landscapes of digital developments in Education, Research and Culture

Who’s afraid of the Digital? This was the leading question of C²DH’s first Forum Z in 2019, organised by the Digital History Unit of the centre. Museum curators, schoolteachers, researchers and professional educators presented their projects in the House of Startups in Luxembourg City in the form of hands-on workstations followed by an round table discussing the merits of new digital projects with the audience in a casual atmosphere.

Third edition of the winter school in digital history

From 19 to 23 February 2018, the C²DH welcomed students in the first year of their master’s degree in history for the third edition of the winter school in digital history. This year, the winter school focused on the creation of a digital archival collection from scratch.

Program now online: DHnord2017 - (De)constructing Digital History

The program for the 4th dhnord conference is now online. dhnord2017 is the fourth edition of the annual Digital Humanities conference organized by the Maison européenne des sciences de l'homme et de la société (MESHS). This year's edition is co-organized with the Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History (C2DH). The theme is: "(De)constructing Digital History". The conference will take place in November 27-29, 2017 in Lille, France.
