Blandine is a former PhD candidate

After studying Art History, Museology and Cultural Mediation at the Ecole du Louvre, Blandine validated her Master degree in Art History at the Université Paris IV-Sorbonne and the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven. She then pursed a career in museums, as an education program designer and a curator. After becoming a docent in 2004 she passed the national exam to become a curator in 2009, and from 2010 to 2019 she ran the Musée de Longwy (Lorraine, France).

In 2015 she spent a semester at Duke University as a research associate and went through an intensive training, focusing on the history of the art market, econometrics and data visualization. She started to work on the questions of value, authenticity, legal discrepancies and other factors influencing the art market.

In 2020 she joined the C²DH to work on the spoliation of Jewish property during World War II in Luxemburg under the joint direction of Prof. Andreas Fickers (C²DH) and Prof. Isabelle Backouche (CRH – EHESS, Paris), a research project co-financed by the Fondation Luxembourgeoise pour la Mémoire de la Shoah.
