This chapter proposes a method of text analysis that combines conceptual aspects from the model of scalable or zoomable text (z-text), topic modelling and fractal geometry.

n this chapter, we look at the commemorations of the end of the Second World War in France (May 8 ) and Italy (April 25) in 2020 when both countries were under strict lockdown. We try to understand what the pandemic has done to the online echoes of these commemorations.

Nach dem Versailler Vertrag sahen sich die europäischen Nationalstaaten mit der Herausforderung konfrontiert, in ihren neuen Grenzgebieten, in denen sich die Mitbürger und Mitbürgerinnen oft drastisch in religiösen, sprachlichen, kulturellen oder ethnischen Aspekten unterschieden, nationale Loyalität zu vermitteln. Die Peripherie im Zentrum vergleicht die Erfahrungen des Schulwesens in Oberschlesien in Polen und in Eupen, Sankt Vith und Malmedy in Belgien - Grenzregionen, die nach dem Ersten Weltkrieg vom Deutschen Reich abgetrennt wurden.

The presentation of Dr Jean-Jacques Rommes and the subsequently debate with the students was focused on one of the key areas of reflection and research at the Institut Grand-Ducal de Luxembourg. It has examined the characteristics of the historical development of the Luxembourg economy in a regional, European and international context and consider the main challenges and issues facing it in terms of openness to foreign markets, diversification, transformation and competitiveness, while also looking ahead to the future.

This presentation focuses on oral history and how interviews, which are the main tool of oral history, help to gain a better understanding of a funfair in Luxembourg in the long 1960s.

Texte de prospective, cet article tente d’émettre des hypothèses sur une mémoire collective en devenir, celle des confinements français et italien du printemps 2020. En s’insérant dans le cadre des digital memory studies, les auteurs utilisent deux corpus comparables, l’un italophone et l’autre francophone, constitués de tweets contenant #coronavirus. Au travers d’une lecture distante des deux corpus, ils analysent les grands thèmes qui les traversent, afin de comparer les résultats obtenus et en comprendre les différences.

Despite the fact that new media are continually seen as “natural born killers” of old media, old media rarely die and very often persist. In what is alternately called the “age of the Internet,” the “digital revolution,” the “metaverse,” the era of “artificial intelligence,” old media such as books, cinema, radio, television, analogue photography, and several others are still in use. Moreover, there is a kind of re-emergence of “the analogue” in various forms and for different incentives, including nostalgia.

The book authored by Prof.Fabio MASINI - and discussed with the students - is entitled “European Economic Governance: Theories, Historical Evolution, and Reform Proposals” (Palgrave Macmillan, 2022) and examines the economic theories and policies that underpin the governance of the European Union. By exploring the history of European economic governance and how this framework has evolved over time, it contextualises theoretical influences, policy debates and instruments of governance, including the European Semester, Six Pack, Two Pack and Fiscal Compact.

Der überraschende Rücktritt von Lorenz Paasch als Sankt Vither Schöffe und sein beruflicher Wechsel als Geschäftsführer der in Düsseldorf angesiedelten Hermann-Niermann- Stiftung inspiriert BRF-Journalist Freddy Derwahl zu einer folgenschweren Spekulation über eine angebliche Nachbarschaft der Stiftung zu rechtsradikalen Kreisen. Die „Niermann-Affäre“
